Detoxification from alcohol and/or drugs is often a long and expensive process. Leyden Family Service and Mental Health Center’s SHARE Detox Program serves 675 adults, helping them through the detox process with 90% of the clients showing physical improvement within 72 hours.
Educational Achievement
More emphasis is placed on group work in schools than ever before. Niles Township Community Day Care Center assists children ages 3 through 5 years in developing emotional, social, physical and cognitive skills which will ready them for attendance in public schools classrooms.
Crisis Support
At least one in every three women will experience abuse in her lifetime. 90% of LifeSpan’s clients create and implement a safety plan and 85% of the women report no further abuse.
Financial Stability
The typical family must pay 25% of its income for licensed daycare, for just one child. the Elk Grove Township Community Day Care Center provides quality and subsidized child care to 155 children who come from low-income families.
Affordable Housing
A worker needs to make at least $17.33/hour to afford the median-priced two-bedroom apartment in our area. CEDA Northwest Self Help, Inc. ensures that 80% of individuals in the program exhibit modified behavior in their approach toward finding and maintaining stable housing.
